Vitamin B and your hair
Hair loss can occur when the diet is lacking in B vitamins and minerals. Vitamins B6, biotin, inositol and folic acid; and the minerals magnesium, sulfur and zinc are all important for proper hair growth. The B vitamins B5 (pantothenic acid) and B3 (niacin), are especially important. On the other hand, taking large doses of vitamin A (100,000 IU or more daily) for long periods of time, can trigger hair loss. Stopping the vitamin A will reverse the problem. As in case of deficiencies, hair often grows back when the cause is corrected.
For example, when laboratory test animals were fed a diet deficient in magnesium, they lost their hair in bunches. The situation was even more serious with some other B-vitamin deficiencies. When they were fed a diet low in biotin or inositol, they became hairless! This nutrient-deficient condition was found to be reversible. When the animals were then fed a diet rich in B vitamins, their hair and their health was completely restored.
Tips That Really Work!
Here are some very useful and highly recommended suggestions. By following these very simple steps, you will be promoting and improving your hair’s overall nutritional health and condition. You can also use these suggestions along side HairBeam usage. By using them in combination, you will enhance and increase the effectiveness of both.Protein treatment – here’s egg on your hair!
By using this egg treatment, your hair will benefit tremendously - and it only costs you the price of an egg!Dampen your hair slightly prior to washing. Then gently comb an actual whisked egg plus 1 –2 tablespoons of lemon juice through your hair. (We suggest using organic eggs from range free chickens.) Leave in for 20 – 40 minutes. Then simply shampoo it out. Get into the habit of doing this once a month.
You will be maximizing the condition of your hair with 100% albumen, the deepest, most intensifying conditioning compound available (99% protein.) This may sound crazy - but it works.
This - plus energizing your hair roots (follicles) with HairBeam bio-stimulation – will literally work wonders for improving your hair’s quality and luster.
Healthy habits
Choose healthy habits for your hair. Any behavior that damages your body can also damage your hair.Crash dieting or chronic nutritional deprivation can result in diffuse hair loss. Iron and Zinc along with B complex deficiencies are also seen as potential causes of what’s known as Telogen Effluvium. This is a sudden increase in hair loss, usually experienced as hair coming out in handfuls. This is a different problem than genetic hair loss.
If you do experience Telogen Effluvium, make sure you begin taking a high quality multi-vitamin. And visit your doctor to rule out other, potentially more serious conditions.
Essential fatty acids
Far too many of us don’t get nearly enough essential fatty acids. These are the fats our body needs for optimum health and growth. Here’s a great tip: Twice a day, once in the morning and once at night – take a tablespoon of organic hemp oil. It has all the essential fatty acids the body needs, in the proper proportions. You can also try taking organic krill oil instead, or in combination with the hemp oil. Krill are the tiny crustaceans found in the billions in arctic waters and are a mainstay of a whale’s diet. (Yes, each whale devours tons of these critters!)
Iodine
If you are losing your hair, it may well be due to an under active thyroid – a condition called hypothyroidism. Many times, even with a medical test saying the thyroid is just fine – it isn’t OK. In many cases, taking a high quality iodine supplement may just be the trick for slowing down or even stopping your inexplicable hair loss.Vitamin D
If you are like most people on earth, you don’t get enough Vitamin D. The paltry recommended minimum dose given out by health agencies falls far short of the mark. The problem has worsened over the years as the propaganda against sun exposure has reached ludicrous proportions. Getting into the sun is healthy! Just don’t burn is the rule. Many leading nutritionists recommend taking a minimum of 2,000 IUs of Vitamin D a day. (Yes, that’s two thousand international units!) Some say 5,000 is the optimal amount.Unlike Vitamin A, it is incredibly difficult to overdo Vitamin D. But be aware, when taking a Vitamin D supplement; make sure its Vitamin D3, the more biologically active form.
Your hair is part of you – so pay attention
Pay close attention to your hair and listen to its needs. Remember, the hair you see is showing you a snapshot of what’s happened in the past. If you notice a change in texture or condition, take time to evaluate what may be happening and make the proper adjustments. Your hair, like your body, it sends you a signal about what it needs or when something is amiss.Exercise, eat well and avoid smoking and excess alcohol. Your hair will thank you for it.
Over washing - don't do it
Yes, you CAN over wash your hair! When you wash your hair to excess, you are also removing the essential oils and surface proteins that keep your hair vibrant, soft and young looking. Washing it twice or three times a week max is plenty. (And don’t forget those protein and HairBeam treatments!)Advice for women > Alopecia > Be informed > Other advice > Buyer beware >
